Destination Downtown.
10th and Miami Avenue is the location of an entirely new concept in evening
entertainment. Just ask Courtlandt McQuire, "basically we combined two of
our passions: art and atmosphere, and served them up with fine spirits.
"Most successful ideas are simple," says Danny Baez. This intimate centrally
located gallery and bar has been in the planning phase for over 3 years now.
"And finally we found the perfect location."
Downtown Miami is the new up-and-coming area to see and be seen. Just look
up toward the heavens and you'll see the new city bird flying high- the
crane. Yeah, construction cranes are all over the place. "This is the
attraction of the new urban sprawl," says the duo. "And we are a part of
it."
Danny and Court are two lifelong residents of South Florida and have seen
the city mature. We just wanted to create a place where the drinks are
priced right, and where you can feel relaxed and meet new people. A place
that is more conducive for conversation, where seating is comfortable but
not stuffy. And people are fun but not arrogant." Court explains. "Miami is
a cultural and arts magnet. It is the springboard to Latin America and
Europe. It has multi-nation influences. It is the only place like it in the
world," he continues. "But like anything else, you must constantly reinvent
yourself," Danny interjects!
People are tired of the chaos of South Beach. It's beat. And Coconut Grove
is always the same thing over and over. But here in the heart of Downtown
there are now many new attractions to choose from. A host of fine dining
establishments as well as Tapas eateries and bars are cropping up. Now
downtown is a destination.
So when Court and Danny were in their think tank, they simply combined there
two passions. Art and atmosphere. Imagine a deep red bar, dimly lit with art
work crammed all over the place, each individually lit, an eclectic array of
artwork and atmosphere. So when the person next to you is telling you that
same ol' story again you can lose yourself in a rich oil painting. instead
of just sipping on fine red wines or a black label on the rocks, you can ask
to see the collection book and purchase a source of inspiration for
yourself. Art. The one common thread that we all share.
So the next time you are considering some live entertainment, exploring a
canvas or just a new hangout. Think Red. |
